About

Having grown up and lived in Kamloops all my life, I am proud to call myself a “Kamloopsian.” My love for music motivated me to start building violins in the early 1980s. When I later played in a local orchestra, I was often asked by fellow musicians to repair their instruments. This is a service that I continue to offer today, and one that my customers tell me they value highly.

I have also worked as a Millwright/Machinist in sawmills for 20 years followed by a dozen years in the many school shops supporting the Tech. Instructors with equipment maintenance and repairs. It was great to see the teachers in action, and many of the students’ projects were brilliant! Most recently, I instructed new millwrights at TRU’s Trades program for just over 4 years. I now intend to operate the Violin Shop/Studio full time, and look forward to supporting the many musicians of this wonderful community!
