October has been a busy month in the violin shop with space at a premium as TWO double basses came in for repairs!
As is so often the case, an instrument is brought in for an obvious problem and yet Shane is able to identify other issues that can be nipped in the bud with some preventative care. And sometimes a small move like a new (straight) bridge can make all the difference to the sound of an instrument…
Also in for repair recently have been a mandolin for new strings & machine heads and a water-damaged violin…never assume that a stringed instrument is beyond help before talking with Shane!
